We know that forging change is difficult without support from your leadership and teams. This webinar will discuss the importance of composing a team of leaders, engaging senior leaders and staff accountability. The speaker will explain the need for choosing the best leaders in order to see and sustain change in the organization. This will include discussions of how implementing a Just Culture can lead to staff engagement and accountability. As well as a first-hand account of how implemented changes are seen in the eyes of a patient.

Director of Infection Control and Patient Safety at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery
Kelly Romano is a dynamic speaker who engages her target audiences. She has presented on several Infection Prevention and Patient Safety Initiatives throughout the country. Serving as the Director of Infection Prevention and Patient Safety at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery, she has helped to build a strong culture of safety enabling staff to feel confident discussing and solving patient safety concerns. She has been working in Infection Prevention and Control for eighteen years and Patient Safety for four years. She has a Bachelor of Science in Community Health Education from Temple University and a Master of Public Health from West Chester University. Kelly is certified in Infection Control and has publications related to Infection Prevention and Control activities. She is the recipient of the 2019 APIC Heroes of Infection Prevention award for program development. As a two-time breast cancer survivor, Kelly is the leader of the local Young Survival Coalition Face 2 Face support group which offers support to women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer under the age of 40.
